My Debate Evaluation

Recently we had are Debate semi finals and finals. In this my team won in the semi finals and then only 12 out of 36 students got throught, I was one of them. After that we had 10 minutes to write a debate about. Should people under 13 be allowed on facebook. I was the intro person for the team that said that they should be allowed, we lost.

In this I think that I did very good, I got really high marks and I was very happy to do it. But I didn’t do that well in the finals where I did only half of it but I made up the other half.

My thoughts on this is that I don't really know why people smoke. This showed how much smoke goes into the lungs of a smoker which is very fascinating to watch. The thing u need to make this are: 1 plastic bottle, 1 cigarette, 1 straw, lots of tap, and some cotton.

Words of Wisdom

Yesturday was history, tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift-that's why it is called the present.

A person who asks a question may be a fool for 5 minutes, but a person who doesn't ask may be a fool forever.

No one can ruin your day without your permission.

I find that these Words of Wisdom are the most meaningful because: They are really good facts, there true, and they can really help your life.

DARE course impact

The DARE courses impact on me was huge. I have learnt so much about how bad drugs are to the human body and also how the police find out where the drugs are. From this course it has made me want to work in the police for being a sniffer dogs handler. I now know that I will not ever take drugs in my life.

Corporal Punishment

The dictionary meaning for Corporal Punishment is being punished by being whipped or beaten. Corporal Punishment was abolished in New Zealand in 1990 which I think was the best decision for New Zealand This is because New Zealand children don’t deserve to be punished for some stupid reason like: talking or even getting a question wrong. A example of serious bad behavior that has took place in my School is with a kid getting angry with something in the past. This story will not have the peoples names in it for personal reasons. One day in Norton Primary School there was a boy called Louis Claybourne who was hanging around the field with his mates George and Michael Brooker. On the field Louis was talking to his mates about how his dog died and who it was, that person was Charlie Young. Louis saw Charlie right next to him and said “Doggy pile”! He jumped onto Charlie and others joined him. He was shouting at him “Why did you kill my dog”. After the doggy pile had finished Louis Claybourne and Charlie Young had to go see a teacher called Mrs Smith every week day for the next two weeks. This affected them both very much. Louis Claybourne new that this was wrong after all the talks and was very sorry. Charlie Young was also very sorry for how he pulled his dogs ears and making the dog get put down. I think that corporal punishment would have been the best solution here because I think that the students went over the line. People say that children behave better with Corporal Punishment in school which I think isn’t true. I think this because, children will be scared to even say anything to the teacher or even to the students next to them. They might not even send there children to school. Also people say that Corporal Punishment teaches children not to behave bad when they are older This is because they may have problems at home, there friends tell them to do it or maybe they have no job and have a life of crime. In conclusion I think that the two boys that got in a fight did realize that it is wrong to fight about something that happened in the past and that should have already been sorted out a long time ago. My Drawing Perspective

With my drawing perspective I think that I didn't do that well. This is because: I found it hard to keep up with the guy showing us what to do, I wasn't really thinking what to do.

I think that I did well in with my mountains, my roof and my posts.

Next time I will try to do better with my 3D affect.

DARE to Make a Choice

This term the senior school is learning about DARE. Dare is a unit that the NewZealand goverment made for young teenagers to learn about all the different drugs and how some of them are bad and some
good. Dare is also very fasinating. Today I found out that chocolate is a drug (weird aye).

I am really looking forward to this unit. And a good thing is in three weeks we are going to H20 (swimming pool in the hutt).
